Ich wollte schon immer hinter die Kulissen schauen. Ich wollte schon immer wissen, wie die Welt im Großen und das Zusammenleben der Menschen im Kleinen funktioniert. Das hat mich ursprünglich dazu gebracht Sozialwissenschaften zu studieren und in der Wissenschaft zu arbeiten. Ich möchte aber nicht nur verstehen, sondern auch etwas bewegen, etwas anstoßen, etwas verbessern. In der Sozioinformatik habe ich meinen Platz dafür gefunden.

I've always wanted to look behind the scenes. I've always wanted to understand how the world works at large, and how people interact together on a smaller scale. That's what originally motivated me to study social sciences and to work in academia. But I don't just want to understand things – I want to make a difference, to set something in motion, and create positive change. I found my place for this in socio-informatics

Ich bin Post-Doc am Lehrstuhl Wirtschaftsinformatik, insb. IT für die alternde Gesellschaft (Prof. Dr. Claudia Müller) und arbeite dort im Bereich Human-Computer-Interaction (HCI) und Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). Ich erforsche, wie Technik die Gesundheitsversorgung verbessern und professionelle wie informelle Akteure im System besser vernetzen kann. Technik muss vom Menschen her gedacht werden sein – nicht umgekehrt. Mein Ansatz zeichnet sich dabei durch Partizipation, Co-Kreation und einer Passung in die Lebensrealitäten der Menschen aus. Ich engagiere mich zudem als Co-Sprecher des Clusters „Gesundheit in der Region“ des Zentrums für interdisziplinäre Gesundheitsforschung an der Universität Siegen sowie im Steering Committee der European Society for Socially Embedded Technologies (EUSSET)

I am a Post-Doc at the Chair of Information Systems, esp. IT for the Ageing Society (Prof. Dr. Claudia Müller), where I work in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). My research explores how technology can improve healthcare provision and better connect professional and informal actors within the system. Technology must be designed from the human perspective – not the other way around. My approach is characterized by participation, co-creation, and a close fit with people's everyday realities. I also serve as co-speaker of the "Health in the Region" cluster at the Center for Interdisciplinary Health Research at the University of Siegen, and as a member of the Steering Committee of the European Society for Socially Embedded Technologies (EUSSET).
